Baroque Trumpet Mutes:
Based on a mute in the Germanisches National Museum. This mute raises the pitch by a semitone on an 18th century instrument (Ehe, Haas) and a whole tone on a 16th/17th century instrument (Hainlein, Nagel, Birckholtz).
These mutes are turned from a single piece of wood with a hole down the centre and have a nasal, buzzing sound when played forte. I supply these with a tube to restrict the bore. The small bore buzzes more and is quieter and the large bore louder.
Made from fruitwoods including apple, cherry, walnut and pear.

Whole tone mute:
I have been asked by many players to make a whole tone mute for Ehe and Haas shaped bells and have developed this model.
